Beginning July 1st, 2006 - most electronic items imported into member countries of the EC (European Community) must be RoHS Compliant. RoHS (Reduction of Hazardous Substances) is a guideline banning products containing certain substances - in particular Lead in Tin-Lead Solders. These rules only apply to products shipped to the EC, and no such regulations exist for Canada and the USA. As of June 15th, 2006 ALL products manufactured by Ross Technologies are RoHS Compliant, and are soldered using an environmentally friendly Tin-Silver-Copper alloy. |
